Generally speaking, the efficiency of the reducer can be determined by theoretical calculations, but due to many influencing factors, certain assumptions need to be made in the quantitative analysis. The theoretical calculation results obtained in this way are only approximate, even if the calculation accuracy can reach ±0.02, and its efficiency value also loses its practical significance. Therefore, the efficiency value of the equipment should be determined through experiments: it is not difficult to test the efficiency of small and medium-sized machinery with a power less than 40kw; for large reducers, test pieces with the same machining accuracy can be designed, and similar lubrication conditions and operating conditions can be selected. A simulation experiment was carried out on special equipment in the laboratory to test the efficiency of the single-stage experimental gearbox, and then the efficiency value was calculated by analogy.
